Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta seeks a Physician Coding Educator to deliver coding and billing education to physicians, PAs, NPs, and clinical staff. You will improve documentation practices and support compliant charge capture for professional services.

You will develop training material, collaborate with Compliance, Legal and Finance, and provide ongoing updates on coding requirements across the organization.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of complete and accurate clinical documentation across healthcare settings.
• Understanding conventions and guidelines for ICD-10 and related coding systems.
• Experience in teaching and developing educational content for professional practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing coding and billing education to physicians, PAs, and NPs to meet regulatory requirements.
• Develop and deliver training content using adult education principles and blended/e-learning approaches.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, and Finance on coding initiatives and targets.
• Monitor learning outcomes and participation in trainings and reports to leadership.
