The educator develops content, conducts live trainings and e-learning, and collaborates with Compliance, Legal, and Finance to align coding initiatives with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• 5 years teaching professional coding education and compliance.
• Education or certification in coding or medical auditing.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and DRG conventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing education to physicians and providers on coding and billing practices to meet regulatory requirements.
• Develop and deliver educational content using adult learning principles and blended learning methods.
• Collaborate with leadership, Compliance, Legal and Providers to implement training programs and monitor outcomes.
• Create training materials and tools to improve charge capture and documentation accuracy.
• Analyze billing and denial data to identify opportunities and report findings to leadership.
