We seek a motivated, experienced Certified Medical Coder | Physician Practice Complex Coder with ideally 3+ years of Cardiology Complex Coding experience (preferably Surgical Cardiology). The candidate must hold a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) in active status with recent/consistent coding work of 3+ years.
This remote role is available in specific states (list of states). The position involves evaluating medical records, providing clinical and surgical abstraction, and ensuring compliance with coding guidelines. Responsibilities include accurate ICD and CPT coding, documentation review, quality assurance, and reporting.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, certification (CPC, CCS-P, CCS, RHIA, or RHIT), and 3+ years of complex coding experience. Preferred qualifications include specialty certifications like RCC and experience in large multi-system physician practices.
This role is full-time, associate level, in the healthcare provider industry, supporting a drug-free work environment. The closing date is anticipated to be September 3, 2025.
