Job summary

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is seeking a Compliance and Coding Support role focused on reviewing and auditing billing processes for inpatient and outpatient services. The position supports education of providers and coders, working with Epic and CHOP Compliance policies, and engaging with multiple clinical groups to ensure accurate documentation and coding practices.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and knowledge of CPT/ICD coding.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field.
• Certifications (RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCS-P/CPC) upon hire are required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Systematically monitor, review and analyze patient records to determine diagnoses and procedures.
• Conduct chart audits to ensure coding and regulatory compliance.
• Provide feedback to the director on audit results and trends.
• Maintain knowledge of CPT, ICD-9-CM and CHOP coding/documentation requirements.
