Job summary

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is seeking a compliance and coding professional to review billing processes, perform chart audits, and ensure regulatory alignment across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will educate providers, develop seminars, and keep teams current with coding changes.

The role collaborates with physicians, leadership, and PB coders, delivering guidance across Surgery, Anesthesia, Radiology, and other areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Systematically monitor, review and analyze patient medical records to determine all appropriate diagnosis and procedures performed.
• Provide feedback and education to providers.
• Conduct chart audits to ensure compliance with coding and regulatory guidelines.
• Provide feedback to director regarding audit results.
• Maintain knowledge of CPT, ICD-9-CM and CHOP Compliance for physician services.
• Develop and provide coding and documentation seminars for providers.
• Inform providers of coding changes annually.
• Coordinate with Epic support to enter new codes timely.
• Meet with CHOP’s Coding and Compliance Department to align policies.
