Job summary

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) seeks a CDM Specialist to manage the hospital's Charge Description Master, ensuring accurate coding, pricing, and compliance across departments. You will coordinate CDM updates, analyze changes, and resolve denials in partnership with Revenue Integrity and PFS teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, strong coding/billing knowledge, and experience with CDM maintenance. It offers a primarily remote schedule with some onsite requirements at CHOP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Experience with coding, billing and CDM maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of CMS/AMA coding changes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the Charge Description Master (CDM) in collaboration with Revenue Integrity and hospital departments.
• Lead CDM maintenance requests and ensure timely changes and documentation.
• Analyze CPT/HCPCS code changes and assess impact on charges and revenue.
• Identify and resolve CDM denials; track denial trends and drive improvement.
• Coordinate with IT/PARC Support to validate end-to-end CDM updates.
• Prepare annual and periodic CDM reviews and communicate findings to stakeholders.
