Job summary

Penn Medicine Bala Cynwyd is seeking a Certified Professional Coder to educate and support coding and billing practices across the division. You will interpret legislation and third-party regulations for physician reimbursement and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role collaborates with PMMG leadership to optimize revenue cycle processes, develop divisional forms, and liaise with third party payers to resolve reimbursement issues.

Qualifications

• Certified Professional Coder with CPC or RHIA credentials.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 2 years clinical or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, interpret, analyze, and communicate information on physician reimbursement and third-party regulations.
• Review medical records for regulatory compliance with major payers.
• Collaborate with PMMG leadership to optimize revenue cycle and operations.
• Develop and revise divisional forms for accurate billing.
• Provide divisional support for coding and billing practices.
• Serve as liaison to third party payers and department personnel on reimbursement.
• Report to Director, Ambulatory Access Optimization to maximize revenue.
• Adhere to Penn Medicine values and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
