Job summary

The VA Fargo HCS is recruiting for a full-time Physician – Associate Chief of Staff for Pathology and Lab. The incumbent provides leadership in pathology and laboratory services and oversees organization and delivery to ensure quality and cost-effective care for Veterans.

The role is expected to be approximately 25% administrative and 75% clinical, supervising lab chiefs, managers, and staff, and coordinating workload and performance measures within the Diagnostic ICC.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent in allopathic/osteopathic medicine.
• Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine.
• Board eligibility/certification in pathology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in pathology and laboratory services.
• Supervise physicians, lab chief, lab manager and staff.
• Oversee lab/pathology operations and administrative functions.
• Coordinate work schedules and performance measures.
• Collaborate with ICC and facility leaders to optimize resources.
