Job summary

Peachtree Immediate Care, a CRH Healthcare company, seeks an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (FNP/PA-C) for a fast-paced urgent care role in Solomons, MD. Part-time with a $10k sign-on and competitive compensation, reporting to a supportive clinical team.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland license as NP or PA or eligibility to obtain one.
• DEA registration active or ability to obtain one.
• BLS and ACLS certifications current.
• Two years of clinical FNP/PA experience preferred.
• Experience in urgent care, emergency or primary care settings is a plus.
• Ability to perform urgent care procedures: suturing, splinting, I&D, wound care.
• Ability to interpret X-rays and other diagnostics independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage episodic and chronic conditions with walk-ins and same-day appointments for ages 2+.
• Perform sports, DOT, pre-employment and annual physicals.
• Evaluate patients for workers' compensation injuries.
• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries.
• Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, I&D, wound care.
• Order and interpret diagnostics including X-rays, labs, 12-lead EKGs.
• Prescribe medications per Maryland regulations and clinic protocols.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, plans, medications, and follow-up.

• Flexible work schedules set 3 months in advance, noon-call, and limited weekends.
• Clinics are closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Years Day, and Easter with early closing on Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, and 4thof July.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage episodic and chronic conditions with walk-ins and same-day appointments as the sole advanced practice provider for ages 2 and up.
• Perform physicals such as sports, DOT, pre-employment, and annual.
• Evaluate patients for workers' compensation injuries.
• Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating acute illnesses and injuries
• Performing procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
• Ordering and independently interpreting diagnostic tests, including X-rays, laboratory work, and 12-lead EKGs
• Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with Maryland regulations and clinic protocols
• Educating patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
• Accurately and efficiently documenting patient encounters
• Collaborating with clinical and operational team members to provide a convenient, caring, and high-quality patient experience

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Maryland Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, or eligibility to obtain one
• Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• At least two years of clinical experience as an FNP or PA-C
• Active DEA registration, or ability to obtain one
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to perform common urgent care procedures, including suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
• Ability to independently interpret X-rays and other diagnostic test results
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-service skills

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine
• Experience practicing in a fast-paced or high-volume clinical environment
