Job summary

Patriot Urgent Care, part of CRH Healthcare, is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA-C or FNP) for our Solomons, MD urgent care. The role involves managing walk-ins and same-day appointments for patients aged 2+, performing physicals, evaluating injuries, and treating acute illnesses with on-site procedures and diagnostics.

In addition to competitive compensation and benefits, we offer a $25,000 sign-on bonus and a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, with flexible, limited weekend

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Maryland NP or PA license, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• At least two years of clinical experience as an FNP or PA-C.
• Active DEA registration, or ability to obtain one.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to perform common urgent care procedures, including suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care.
• Ability to independently interpret X-rays and other diagnostic test results.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage episodic and chronic conditions with walk-ins and same-day appointments as the sole advanced practice provider for ages 2 and up.
• Perform physicals such as sports, DOT, pre-employment, and annual.
• Evaluate patients for workers’ compensation injuries.
• Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating acute illnesses and injuries.
• Performing procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care.
• Ordering and independently interpreting diagnostic tests, including X-rays, laboratory work, and 12-lead EKGs.
• Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with Maryland regulations and clinic protocols.
• Educating patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
• Accurately and efficiently documenting patient encounters.
• Collaborating with clinical and operational team members to provide a convenient, caring, and high-quality patient experience.
