Job summary

Peachtree Immediate Care, part of CRH Healthcare, is seeking a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner for Urgent Care in Dunkirk, MD. This full-time on-site role offers a $25,000 sign-on bonus and competitive compensation with strong clinical support.

You will manage walk-ins and same-day appointments, perform urgent care procedures, interpret X-rays, order tests, and educate patients while collaborating with a team.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland NP/PA license or eligibility.
• Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification.
• At least two years of clinical FNP/PA experience.
• Active DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one.
• BLS and ACLS certifications current.
• Ability to perform urgent care procedures and interpret tests.

Responsibilities

• Manage episodic and chronic conditions for walk-ins and same-day appointments.
• Perform physicals such as sports, pre-employment, and annual.
• Evaluate patients for injuries and acute illnesses.
• Perform suturing, splinting, I&D, and wound care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and ECGs.
• Prescribe medications per Maryland regulations and clinic policy.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses and follow-up care.
• Document encounters accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with clinical and operations teams to ensure quality care.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage episodic and chronic conditions with walk-ins and same-day appointments as the sole advanced practice provider for ages 2 and up.
• Perform physicals such as sports, DOT, pre-employment, and annual.
• Evaluate patients for workers’ compensation injuries.
• Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating acute illnesses and injuries
• Performing procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
• Ordering and independently interpreting diagnostic tests, including X-rays, laboratory work, and 12-lead EKGs
• Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with Maryland regulations and clinic protocols
• Educating patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
• Accurately and efficiently documenting patient encounters
• Collaborating with clinical and operational team members to provide a convenient, caring, and high-quality patient experience

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Maryland Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, or eligibility to obtain one
• Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• At least two years of clinical experience as an FNP or PA-C
• Active DEA registration, or ability to obtain one
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to perform common urgent care procedures, including suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
• Ability to independently interpret X-rays and other diagnostic test results
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-service skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine
• Experience practicing in a fast-paced or high-volume clinical environment
