Job summary

Peachtree Immediate Care, a CRH Healthcare Company, seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (FNP or PA-C) to join our urgent care team in Hagerstown, MD. This on-site role offers a $25,000 sign-on bonus, competitive compensation, and a supportive, team-based environment.

Responsibilities include managing walk-in and same-day visits for ages 2+. The position requires Maryland license eligibility, FNP/PA-C certification, DEA, BLS/ACLS, and at least two years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Maryland license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• DEA registration current or ability to obtain one.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• At least two years of clinical experience as an FNP or PA-C.

Responsibilities

• Manage episodic and chronic conditions for walk-ins and same-day appointments.
• Perform physicals (sports, DOT, pre-employment, annual).
• Evaluate patients for injuries and illnesses; diagnose and treat.
• Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, wound care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (X-rays, labs, ECGs).
• Prescribe medications per Maryland regulations and clinic protocols.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment, and follow-up care.
• Document encounters accurately and efficiently.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage episodic and chronic conditions with walk-ins and same-day appointments as the sole advanced practice provider for ages 2 and up.
• Perform physicals such as sports, DOT, pre-employment, and annual.
• Evaluate patients for workers’ compensation injuries.
• Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating acute illnesses and injuries
• Performing procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
• Ordering and independently interpreting diagnostic tests, including X-rays, laboratory work, and 12-lead EKGs
• Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with Maryland regulations and clinic protocols
• Educating patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
• Accurately and efficiently documenting patient encounters
• Collaborating with clinical and operational team members to provide a convenient, caring, and high-quality patient experience

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Maryland Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, or eligibility to obtain one
• Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• At least two years of clinical experience as an FNP or PA-C
• Active DEA registration, or ability to obtain one
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to perform common urgent care procedures, including suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
• Ability to independently interpret X-rays and other diagnostic test results
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-service skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine
• Experience practicing in a fast‑paced or high-volume clinical environment

Hourly Rate or Salary Range
