CRH Healthcare, LLC is hiring a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for urgent care. You will manage walk-in and same-day visits, perform physicals, and treat acute conditions in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland NP or PA license or eligibility to obtain one
• Current certification as Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Minimum two years of clinical experience as FNP/PA-C
• Active DEA registration or ability to obtain one
• BLS/ACLS certifications current
• Ability to interpret X-rays and other tests independently
• Strong clinical judgment and patient-service skills

Responsibilities

• Manage episodic and chronic conditions for ages 2+ in walk-in and same-day settings
• Perform physicals (sports, DOT, pre-employment, annual)
• Evaluate workers’ compensation injuries
• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries
• Perform suturing, splinting, wound care, incision and drainage
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including X-rays and labs
• Prescribe meds per protocols
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses and follow-up
• Document encounters accurately
• Collaborate with clinical and operational teams

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage episodic and chronic conditions with walk-ins and same-day appointments as the sole advanced practice provider for ages 2 and up.
• Perform physicals such as sports, DOT, pre-employment, and annual.
• Evaluate patients for workers’ compensation injuries.
• Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating acute illnesses and injuries
• Performing procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
• Ordering and independently interpreting diagnostic tests, including X-rays, laboratory work, and 12-lead EKGs
• Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with Maryland regulations and clinic protocols
• Educating patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
• Accurately and efficiently documenting patient encounters
• Collaborating with clinical and operational team members to provide a convenient, caring, and high-quality patient experience

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Maryland Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, or eligibility to obtain one
• Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• At least two years of clinical experience as an FNP or PA-C
• Active DEA registration, or ability to obtain one
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to perform common urgent care procedures, including suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
• Ability to independently interpret X-rays and other diagnostic test results
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-service skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine
• Experience practicing in a fast-paced or high-volume clinical environment
