Peachtree Immediate Care, a CRH Healthcare company, seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Eldersburg, MD urgent care team. You will manage walk-ins and same-day appointments for ages 2 and up, perform physicals, and evaluate workers’ compensation cases while delivering high-quality care.

You’ll order and interpret tests, prescribe therapies per Maryland regulations, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or PA-C with active Maryland license or eligibility.
• Current certification as Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• 2+ years of clinical experience as FNP/PA-C.

Responsibilities

• Manage episodic and chronic conditions for walk-ins and same-day appointments for ages 2+.
• Perform physicals (sports, DOT, pre-employment, annual).
• Evaluate injuries and illnesses; order and interpret tests (X-rays, labs, 12-lead EKG).
• Prescribe medications per Maryland regs and clinic protocols.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, plans, medications, and follow-up.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage episodic and chronic conditions with walk-ins and same-day appointments as the sole advanced practice provider for ages 2 and up.
• Perform physicals such as sports, DOT, pre-employment, and annual.
• Evaluate patients for workers’ compensation injuries.
• Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating acute illnesses and injuries
• Performing procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
• Ordering and independently interpreting diagnostic tests, including X-rays, laboratory work, and 12-lead EKGs
• Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with Maryland regulations and clinic protocols
• Educating patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
• Accurately and efficiently documenting patient encounters
• Collaborating with clinical and operational team members to provide a convenient, caring, and high-quality patient experience

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Maryland Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, or eligibility to obtain one
• Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• At least two years of clinical experience as an FNP or PA-C
• Active DEA registration, or ability to obtain one
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to perform common urgent care procedures, including suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
• Ability to independently interpret X-rays and other diagnostic test resultsStrong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-service skills
• Preferred Experience
• Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine
• Experience practicing in a fast-paced or high-volume clinical environment
• Hourly Rate or Salary Range: Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
