Patriot Urgent Care is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider in Maryland to join our fast-paced clinic network. You’ll manage walk-ins and same-day visits, perform annual physicals, and treat a broad range of urgent concerns for patients aged 2 and up, with strong clinical support and a team-based culture.

The role emphasizes independence in testing and diagnostics, patient education, and a commitment to high-quality care within Maryland regulations and clinic protocols.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland NP or PA license and current certification as FNP or PA-C.
• At least two years of clinical experience as FNP or PA-C.
• Active DEA registration or ability to obtain one.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to perform urgent care procedures, including suturing and wound care.
• Ability to independently interpret X-rays and diagnostic tests.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication and patient-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage episodic and chronic conditions with walk-ins and same-day appointments for ages 2+.
• Perform physicals such as sports, DOT, pre-employment and annual.
• Evaluate patients for workers' compensation injuries.
• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries.
• Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, I&D and wound care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including X-rays, labs and 12-lead EKGs.
• Prescribe medications per Maryland regulations and clinic protocols.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans and follow-up.
• Document encounters accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with the clinical and operational team for quality care.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage episodic and chronic conditions with walk-ins and same-day appointments as the sole advanced practice provider for ages 2 and up.
• Perform physicals such as sports, DOT, pre-employment, and annual.
• Evaluate patients for workers' compensation injuries.
• Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating acute illnesses and injuries
• Performing procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
• Ordering and independently interpreting diagnostic tests, including X-rays, laboratory work, and 12-lead EKGs
• Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with Maryland regulations and clinic protocols
• Educating patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
• Accurately and efficiently documenting patient encounters
• Collaborating with clinical and operational team members to provide a convenient, caring, and high-quality patient experience

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Maryland Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, or eligibility to obtain one
• Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• At least two years of clinical experience as an FNP or PA-C
• Active DEA registration, or ability to obtain one
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to perform common urgent care procedures, including suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
• Ability to independently interpret X-rays and other diagnostic test results
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-service skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine
• Experience practicing in a fast-paced or high-volume clinical environment
