Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Active Physician Assistant license (Illinois preferred).
• Current DEA license preferred.
• NCCPA certification preferred.
• Interest in Physiatry/Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
• Orthopedic experience preferred.
• Physiatry experience preferred.
• Nursing facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation plans.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and examinations, to set rehab goals.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to optimize function and independence.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and educational activities to enhance clinical skills.
• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, plans, progress, and discharges in EMR systems.
• Educate patients and families about the rehabilitation process, outcomes, and post-discharge care.
