Job summary

Ortho Rhode Island in Providence is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to support a total joint surgeon. You will assist surgically, manage admissions and rounds, order and interpret imaging and labs, and educate patients.

The role also includes minor procedures and documenting care in the medical record, with a Monday–Friday schedule and one remote day per week. Requires PA program graduate, NCCPA certification, Rhode Island license or eligibility, and strong communication skills; team

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Rhode Island license or eligibility to practice as a PA.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first surgical assistant for orthopedic procedures.
• Handle hospital admissions and consultations.
• Perform inpatient rounds and evaluate orthopedic injuries.
• Order and interpret tests (imaging, labs) and document results.
• Provide patient education and coordinate therapies.
• Perform minor procedures in clinic/ER (fracture reductions, laceration repair).
• Maintain accurate medical records and confidentiality.

Ortho Rhode Island (ORI) has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Physician Assistant to join its dynamic and growing team. This role will provide clinical and surgical support to a total joint surgeon in the Providence location.
