Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current PA licensure in the applicable state.
• Must meet state and regulatory requirements governing PA practice.
• Prior clinical experience in primary care, specialty, or institutional healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains, evaluates, and records medical histories.
• Performs physical examinations.
• Orders testing for routine and acute evaluations.
• Collects specimens for pathologic examinations when needed.
• Analyzes data and formulates plans for clinical problems.
• Initiates consults to specialists and other health professionals.
• Counsels and educates patients on health-related matters.
• Provides management for acute and chronic illnesses.
• Prescribes medications as authorized by law.
• Offers consultative services to the Health Services Administrator and designees.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
