Job summary

Family Healthcare of Hagerstown is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive primary and preventive care across the lifespan in a Maryland clinic.

The role requires completion of an accredited PA program and eligibility for Maryland licensure, with preferred PA Master’s degree. Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care are essential in a collaborative, patient-first environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program is required.
• Current license or eligibility for licensure as a Physician Assistant in Maryland is required.
• MD CDS, DEA registrations and BLS are required; ACLS may be required depending on assignment.
• Experience with electronic health records is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments with medical histories and examinations.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute, chronic, and preventive care needs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures as appropriate.
• Prescribe medications per Maryland regulations and policies.
• Provide preventive services, immunizations, screenings, and patient education.
• Document encounters in the EHR accurately and timely.
• Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, and community resources.
• Participate in quality assurance, risk management, and safety activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safety standards.
