Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current, valid Physician Assistant licensure in the applicable state.
• Must meet all state and regulatory requirements governing the practice of a Physician Assistant.
• Prior clinical experience in a primary care, specialty, or institutional healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains, evaluates, and records medical histories
• Performs physical examinations
• Orders necessary testing for routine and acute health care evaluations
• Collects specimens, when necessary, for pathologic examinations
• Analyzes and interprets data, formulates problem lists, and establishes appropriate plans for the management of clinical problems
• Initiates necessary consults to specialists and other health care professionals
• Counsels and educates patients on health-related matters
• Provide management for acute and chronic illnesses
• Prescribes necessary medications, as authorized by law.
• Provides consultative services to the Health Services Administrator and designees on patient health-related issues
• All other duties as assigned

Education

Master’s Degree from an accredited institution

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

Current, valid Physician Assistant licensure in the applicable state
