Job summary

Community Health Network and GoHealth Urgent Care seek a Physician Assistant for a Per Diem Urgent Care role in Central Indiana. You will provide a broad range of clinical services to patients of all ages, perform physicals, order tests, diagnose and treat conditions, and work with or without a physician.

The role emphasizes timely care, independent practice when appropriate, and escalation when needed. The job requires at least 1 year of urgent care or ED experience, pediatric and adult care,

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of full-time experience as a licensed PA in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting.
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations.
• Proficient in preliminary reads of EKGs and X-rays.
• Master’s degree from an accredited PA program.
• NCCPA Certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams and review patient histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Diagnose conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments or medications.
• Perform minor procedures including suturing, splinting, and casting.
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans in the EMR.
• Educate and counsel patients on care and prevention.
• Administer vaccinations and refer patients to specialists as needed.

You’ll treat acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains, and minor infections.
