Qualifications

• Current NCCPA national certification required.
• Degree from an ARC-PA accredited program.
• Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice).
• State licensure/credentials as applicable; New York ROPES registration may apply.
• Hands-on training in BLS/CPR; ACLS may be required depending on contract scope.

Responsibilities

• Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines and approved agreements.
• Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
• Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care.
• Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, growth and development.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
• Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies.
• Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed.

As a Part‑Time Physician Assistant, you’ll provide high-quality primary and preventive care to client employees at our primary care health clinic on Greenwich Street in New York, NY, directly across from Piers 25 and 26. This is an opportunity to support a premier client in a highly personalized, patient‑focused healthcare environment, with an emphasis on exceptional clinical care. Strong clinical skills, women’s health experience, and the ability to respond confidently in emergency situations are important for this role. The position offers a consistent 24‑hour‑per‑week schedule, Tuesday through Thursday from 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, providing a predictable part‑time schedule.

What You’ll Do

• Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines and approved agreements.

What You’ll Bring

• Maintains state licenses/certifications to practice.
• Maintains Board of Pharmacy Prescribing License (if applicable).
• Current NCCPA national certification required.
• Degree from ARC‑PA accredited program.
• Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable).
• State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state (Alabama, Connecticut, DC, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming, Puerto Rico) (New York ROPES registration).
• Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services.
• At least three years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting.

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $86,400.00 - $108,000.00 annually. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
