Key Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and perform assessments through observation, interviews, and examinations. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic procedures.
• Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions, utilizing prescriptive authority or referring to other healthcare providers or community resources.
• Offer counseling and education to patients and families about preventative health, treatment options, and community resources.
• Conduct preventative health assessments, screenings, immunizations, and care.
• Work within scope, requiring critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• DOT Certification is required.
• Level I Certification is required.

Minimum Requirements

For Physician Assistants

• Master's degree in physician assistant studies.
• Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in Colorado.
• Physician Assistant Certification (PA-C) from NCCPA, maintained throughout employment.
• Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe medications.
• Eligible for Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements.
• No sanctions or exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA's List of Parties Excluded.
• Unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate privileges.
• Prescriptive authority as per privileging.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC.

For Nurse Practitioners

• Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• Nurse Practitioner Certification from ANCC or AANPCB.
• Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state or multi-state compact.
• Unrestricted medical staff membership with privileges.
• Full prescriptive authority.
• Unrestricted DEA permit.
• Eligible for Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements.
• No sanctions or exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC.
