Job summary

BAS HealthCare is seeking Advanced Practitioners for a full-time hybrid role in Wallingford, CT. The position involves supporting both ambulatory clinic and inpatient hospital settings, focusing on complex cardiac arrhythmias.

Qualifications

Job Details
  • Full‑time hybrid role supporting both ambulatory clinic and inpatient hospital settings across the central Connecticut region
  • Provide outpatient ECG interpretation, diagnosis, and management of complex cardiac arrhythmias
  • Perform pre‑procedure risk stratification for cardiac EP procedures and prescribe diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
  • Monitor and adjust medications for complex cardiac arrhythmias and optimize evidence‑based treatment plans
  • Perform routine Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device (CIED) testing and reprogramming independently or with minimal physician supervision
  • Review, interpret, and manage CIED remote transmissions
  • Facilitate outpatient therapeutic procedures including pacemakers, implantable defibrillators, and catheter ablation
  • Provide EP clinical support to medical, critical care, progressive care, perioperative, and emergency patient management in inpatient settings
  • Collaborate with inpatient multidisciplinary teams including Cardiologists, Intensivists, and Hospitalists to facilitate cardiac arrhythmia interventions
  • Interrogate, interpret, and manage inpatient implanted cardiac devices in the acute care setting
  • Support EP perioperative services including pre and post‑procedure orders, interval H&P, pre‑op lab review, and discharge instructions
  • Ability to independently implant loop recorders, or willingness to learn
  • Basic EP procedural first assist skills preferred; highly motivated candidates with a proactive attitude toward acquiring new competencies are encouraged to apply
  • Provide patient education including treatment options and lifestyle modifications
  • Participate in total quality management initiatives to improve patient and system outcomes
  • Stay current with advancements in electrophysiology through continuing education
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Master's program preferred
  • Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Physician Assistant or APRN in the state of Connecticut
  • Cardiology experience preferred; electrophysiology experience is a strong preference
  • Cardiac device management experience highly preferred
  • Utilizes EPIC EMR
