Job summary

BAS HealthCare in Norwich, CT is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner (Cardiology) to provide direct patient care in both outpatient and inpatient cardiology settings in collaboration with a licensed physician. The role requires CT APRN licensure, national certification or eligibility, and at least 3 years of cardiology experience.

The schedule features 4–10 hour shifts with one weekend per month and no night call.

Job Details:

• Provide direct patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings in collaboration with a licensed physician


• Work within the Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant scope of practice, including prescribing, dispensing, and administering therapeutic and corrective measures


• Identify diagnostic information that should be considered emergent and communicate timely information to physician colleagues


• Demonstrate a passion for cardiology and adaptability within a rapidly growing cardiovascular institute


• Schedule consists of 4-10 hour shifts, one weekend per month, with no night call


• Graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Master's program preferred


• Must be licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut


• National Board Certification or eligibility for certification through AACN or ANCC required


• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a clinical area such as cardiology required


• Prior experience in cardiology strongly preferred
