Job summary

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an ARC-PA accredited PA program.
• Licensed Physician Assistant in California at hire.
• BLS certification at hire.
• NPI at hire.
• PA National Certificate at hire.
• Fluoroscopy Permit required within 18 months for Orthopedics/IR/ Radiation Oncology.
• Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Responsibilities

• Examines patients, performs physical exams, and compiles medical data.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests and results.
• Performs injections, immunizations, suturing, and wound care.
• Conducts department-specific procedures as needed.
• Develops patient management plans and documents progress notes.
• Educates patients on treatment regimens and health maintenance.
• First assist in surgeries when required by department.
• Rounds on inpatients and manages perioperative care.
• Provides pre-operative education and discharge planning.
