Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our inpatient Hospital Medicine department. This role involves providing comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients, including those in the emergency department and intensive care units. The schedule is 4x10s, Monday - Friday, with rotating days, and no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities.
Essential Functions include: delivering patient care, developing educational programs, mentoring students, participating in quality improvement, and collaborating with healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities: conducting patient assessments, prescribing medications, ordering tests, providing patient and family education, documenting care, and participating in research and quality initiatives.
Qualifications: Master's degree from an accredited program, acute care certification for APRNs, current Illinois RN and APRN licenses, certification by a national board, and at least 2 years of APP experience. BLS certification is also required.
