Texas Health Plano is seeking a Physician Assistant for Neurosurgery/Neuro Interventional Radiology to join a fellowship-trained team in a Level II Trauma Center with a Comprehensive Stroke Center. The role supports patient care in a 24-bed Neuro ICU and dedicated Neuro unit, performing procedures and coordinating care with the multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has a Texas PA license, ACLS and BCLS credentials, and 3 years of PA experience with Neurosurgery/Neuro IR preference.

Competenze

• Graduate of an AMA accredited Physician Assistant program required.
• 3 years of experience as a Physician Assistant preferred.
• 1 year of experience in Neurosurgery/Neuro IR strongly preferred.
• Current State of Texas PA license upon hire required.
• ACLS required within 90 days.
• BCLS required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• NCCPA upon hire preferred.
• Must be credentialed by Medical Staff Service upon hire required.

• Contributes to positive patient experience through effective communication with patients and coordination with multidisciplinary care team.

Full Time, 40 Hours, 4 10 hour days with rotating weekend coverage

Here’s What You Need

• Graduate of an AMA accredited Physician Assistant program required
• 3 years of experience as a Physician Assistant preferred

• Documents actions, assessments, progress notes and plans in the EHR utilizing approved protocols, order sets and navigators as appropriate; addresses medication reconciliation.
• Contributes to positive patient experience through effective patient communication and focus on coordination and communication with the multidisciplianry care team; works with varied Patient Experience Teams providing feedback and ideas.
• Meets/performs regulatory requirements, NPSGs, clinical and other KPls, safety standards; analyzes performance; demonstrates fiscally sound decisions.
• Performs clinical procedures authorized by the physician within scope of training and medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations
