Job summary

Texas Health Physicians Group in Plano, TX invites a skilled Physician Assistant to join our neurosurgery, spine and trauma team. You will assist surgeons in the OR, perform pre- and post-operative assessments, and help manage patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings.

This full-time role requires Texas licensure, board certification, and 2+ years in neurosurgery or spine care. EPIC EMR experience and a collaborative, fast-paced approach are essential.

Qualifications

  • Texas licensed & Board-Certified Physician Assistant.
  • Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in neurosurgery, spine and trauma care preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the neurosurgeon and orthopedic spine surgeons in the OR.
  • Conduct pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments.
  • Manage patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families.
  • Plan treatment and document using EPIC EMR.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Rotating weekend trauma call.

Position Details:
  • Full Time- Monday - Friday work schedule; rotating weekend trauma call
  • Assist the neurosurgeon and orthopedic spine surgeons in the OR.
