Job summary

Pediatrix® Medical Group is seeking a qualified Neonatal Physician Assistant to join its team at Golisano Children’s Hospital in Fort Myers, Florida. The role involves providing crucial care in a Level III neonatal intensive care unit while collaborating with a dedicated team of professionals.

Qualifications

• Current certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a one-year post-master’s Neonatal PA training program or at least one year of recent experience as a Neonatal PA in a NICU.

Opportunity Overview

Cohort: Neonatal Physician Assistant at Pediatrix® Medical Group within Golisano Children’s Hospital, a Level III neonatal intensive care unit in Southwest Florida.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide coverage in the Level III NICU, including attending care for newborn infants.
• Occasional Level I coverage with well‑baby care and home backup coverage.
• Support high‑risk delivery services and collaborate with the 10 neonatal physicians and 10 neonatal nurse practitioners.
• Participate in a robust quality improvement program and clinical research opportunities as desired.
• Work 12‑hour shifts with an option for 24‑hour shifts based on prior experience.

Qualifications

• Current certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a one‑year post‑master’s Neonatal PA training program or at least one year of recent experience as a Neonatal PA in a NICU.
