Ada County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide direct and indirect basic medical care to inmates at the Ada County Jail. The role supports physiological, psychosocial, and emotional needs within a secure correctional setting, collaborating with physicians and security staff.

The position is part of the Health Services Division and offers day shifts with 4x10s or 5x8s. Licensure and CPR/BLS are required; on-call rotation included.

Competenze

• Graduation from an accredited PA or NP program with current Idaho licensure
• Knowledge of professional medical principles, procedures, and practices
• Ability to maintain clinical area in clean, neat and safe manner
• Ability to exercise sound judgment in stressful situations

Mansioni

• Assess inmate/patient in intake areas and clinics
• Identify health problems and prescribe treatment under physician direction
• Perform or schedule labs and diagnostics, respond to emergencies
• Document health care contacts and progress; adhere to infection control practices
