Job summary

University Hospitals in Mayfield, Ohio is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the internal medicine team at the Georgian Medical Group, with hours Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Advanced Practice Provider will deliver quality patient care, support access and satisfaction, and follow Ohio State Nursing Board guidelines and UH bylaws.

This is a full-time role emphasizing collaborative practice, adherence to care paths and protocols, and PHI safeguarding.

• Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers (describes patient engagement principles)
• Performs patient assessment and assigns diagnosis based on assessment data and current standards
• Establishes plan of care and implements interventions per care paths, protocols, and current research
• Collaborates with other health care providers in an interdisciplinary approach to patient care
• Contributes to the educational development of staff, patients and family
• Demonstrates progressive leadership and effective management
• Provides education through role modeling and in-services to meet learning needs and promote professionalism
• Advances professional development through continuing education and peer review

Job description

Seeking a Physician Assistant to join the internal medicine team for the Georgian Medical Group located at Mayfield, Oh. The schedule is Mon-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm.

A Brief Overview

The Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by a Nurse Practitioner as specified by the Ohio State Nursing Board and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws

• Contributes to the educational development of staff, patients, family and self (5%)
• Demonstrates progressive leadership and effective management (5%)
• Provides education through role modeling and in-services to meet identified learning needs and to promote professionalism (5%)
• Advances own professional development through self-directed learning, continuing education and participation in peer review (5%)
