We are seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our outpatient team. This role provides an opportunity to care for patients with a broad range of gastrointestinal and liver-related conditions while working collaboratively with an experienced specialty team. We are seeking a PA with direct experience in gastroenterology, hepatology, or a closely related specialty who is comfortable evaluating and managing complex medical conditions and providing longitudinal patient care.
Conduct thorough history and physical exams for patients in an outpatient setting, applying critical thinking to assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions
Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and recommending therapies based on current clinical guidelines and patient-specific factors.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed, integrating results into clinical decision-making and care plans.
Deliver compassionate, patient- and family-centered care by providing education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and chronic disease management.
Coordinate and manage follow-up care, respond to patient concerns between visits, and facilitate timely referrals to specialists or community resources to support comprehensive care.
Ensure accurate, timely documentation of patient visits, care plans, and clinical outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity and quality of care across the patient’s healthcare journey.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to clinic protocols that enhance patient safety, satisfaction, and health outcomes.
Promote wellness and disease prevention strategies tailored to the needs and circumstances of each patient across the lifespan.
Maintain ongoing professional development by engaging in continuing education and staying current with evidence-based practice and clinical advancements.
