Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Gastroenterology Physician Assistant and/or a Nurse Practitioner to provide medical services in collaboration with our Gastroenterology physicians in our 95th Street Manhattan medical office. Prior expertise in this area of medicine is required. Join us in pursuit of high-quality patient care to provide a full scope of services including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care and health maintenance.

Base Pay Range

$150,000.00/yr - $165,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced Gastroenterology assessment of patient, documenting pertinent findings.
• Initiate, perform and interpret diagnostic tests and/or endoscopic procedures.
• Systematically compare and contrast clinical diagnostic findings with normal and abnormal variations in making differential diagnoses.
• Identify expected outcomes that incorporate evidence-based practice.
• Design strategies to meet the multifaceted needs of complex patients.
• Select therapeutic interventions that reflect current clinical judgment.
• Evaluate diagnoses and the effectiveness of the interventions to achieve expected outcomes.
• Prescribe treatments, therapy procedures, and medications in accordance with New York State and federal law.
• Consider the patient’s comprehensive overall health needs with integrated delivery of patient care.
• Collaborate with other clinicians and staff members to ensure continuity of care of patients.
• Perform other job-related duties as required. Staff educational programs and meetings.

This compensation range is specific and considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, internal peer equity, and market and business considerations. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, as compensation decisions depend on each case’s facts and circumstances. Union roles covered by a collective bargaining agreement will compensate in accordance with the union contract.
