Premise Health in Maryville, TN is seeking a Full-Time Physician Assistant to provide primary care to client employees and their dependents at our on-site Health Center. Pediatrics experience is preferred. The schedule runs 32 hours per week, Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Must hold NCCPA certification.
• PA license in good standing; active license for Tennessee if applicable.
• Current DEA license and state narcotics license if required.
• BLS/ACLS certifications as required by contract scope.

Responsibilities

• Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures.
• Performs injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
• Develops patient care plans and records progress.
• Educates patients on treatment plans and health maintenance.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests and refers to specialists as needed.
• Maintains accurate patient health records and ensures continuity of care.

What You’ll Do

• Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines and approved agreements.
• Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
• Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care.
• Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, growth and development.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
• Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies.
• Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed.
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation and records.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

• Maintains state licenses/certifications to practice.
• Maintains Board of Pharmacy Prescribing License (if applicable).
• Current NCCPA national certification required.
• Degree from ARC-PA accredited program.
• Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable).
• State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state (Alabama, Connecticut, DC, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming, Puerto Rico) (New York ROPES registration).
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services.
