Job summary

Memorial Hermann-GoHealth Urgent Care in Houston, TX is seeking experienced Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners with urgent care or emergency medicine experience to serve both adult and pediatric patients.

Join our welcoming team to provide a wide range of clinical services, including treatment of acute conditions, minor procedures, EKG and X-ray reading, and when necessary directing patients to the emergency department for advanced care.

Qualifications

• PA or NP with urgent care or emergency medicine experience.
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult populations.
• Comfortable with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints).
• Knowledge of reading EKGs and X-rays.
• Active state medical license and national certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care services to adult and pediatric patients.
• Assess, diagnose and treat acute conditions.
• Perform minor procedures and interpret basic imaging.
• Escalate complex cases to emergency department as needed.

Due to our growth and expansion, Memorial Hermann - GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking experienced Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners who have urgent care or emergency room experience,treating both adult and pediatric patients.

Join our welcoming and diverse community of providers in our Louetta urgent care center.

Our Advanced Practitioners (PAs) provide a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections.

It is essential to have excellent assessment skills in order to recognize more serious conditions and direct the patient to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary while going above and beyond to deliver an unparalleled patient experience.

Work Experience:

• PA: 2 or more years of Full-Time experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting required
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations .
• Comfortable with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.), reading EKGs and X-rays.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree required for Physician Assistants

Required Licenses/Certifications:

• National Certifications
• Active state medical licensure

Additional Knowledge Skills & Abilities Preferred:

• Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records
• Ability to be attentive with strong listening skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
