Job summary

Community Health Network and GoHealth Urgent Care are seeking a Physician Assistant to provide a broad range of clinical services at urgent care centers in Central Indiana. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients across all ages, with independence or in collaboration with a physician.

You will perform suturing, splinting, casting, and minor procedures, document care in the EMR, and educate patients while coordinating with specialists as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of full‑time experience as a licensed PA in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine.
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult patients.
• Comfortable performing suturing, casting, and splinting.
• Proficient in preliminary reads of EKGs and X-rays.
• Master’s degree from an accredited PA program.
• NCCPA Certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams and review patient histories.
• Order and interpret tests and imaging.
• Diagnose conditions and prescribe treatments.
• Perform minor procedures including suturing, splinting, and casting.
• Document encounters in the EMR.

About the Role

As a Physician Assistant (PA), you will provide a broad range of clinical services to patients of all ages. You’ll treat acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu‑like symptoms, cuts, sprains, and minor infections. You’ll work independently or alongside a physician, using your clinical expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat patients, while recognizing when to elevate care to emergency services.

Essential Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams and review patient medical histories
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging
• Diagnose conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments or medications
• Perform minor procedures including suturing, splinting, and casting
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans in the EMR
• Educate and counsel patients on care and prevention
• Administer vaccinations and refer patients to specialists as needed
• Work scheduled shifts of hours as assigned
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of full‑time experience as a licensed NP or PA in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting (required)
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations (required)
• Comfortable performing minor procedures including suturing, casting, and splinting (required)
• Proficient in preliminary reads of EKGs and X‑rays (required)
• Physician Assistants: Master’s degree from an accredited PA program (required)
• NCCPA Certification (required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
• Multilingual communication skills
• Familiarity with telemedicine platforms
