Job summary

Community Health Network-GoHealth Urgent Care in Central Indiana is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide a broad range of clinical services for patients of all ages. You will assess, diagnose, and treat acute conditions, working independently or with a physician to elevate care when needed.

The role emphasizes performing minor procedures, ordering tests, documenting in EMR, and educating patients to prevent illnesses. A strong background in urgent care and NCCPA certification is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of full-time experience as a licensed PA in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine.
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult populations.
• Comfortable performing minor procedures including suturing, casting, and splinting.
• Proficient in preliminary reads of EKGs and X-rays.
• Master’s degree from an accredited PA program and NCCPA Certification.

• Diagnose conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments or medications.
• Perform minor procedures including suturing, splinting, and casting.

• Work scheduled shifts of hours as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

About the Role

As a Physician Assistant (PA), you will provide a broad range of clinical services to patients of all ages. You’ll treat acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu‑like symptoms, cuts, sprains, and minor infections. You’ll work independently or alongside a physician, using your clinical expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat patients, while recognizing when to elevate care to emergency services.

Essential Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams and review patient medical histories
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging
• Diagnose conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments or medications
• Perform minor procedures including suturing, splinting, and casting
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans in the EMR
• Educate and counsel patients on care and prevention
• Administer vaccinations and refer patients to specialists as needed

Minimum Qualifications
