Job summary

OrthoVirginia is seeking a licensed Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Total Joints APC team in Virginia. You’ll provide patient‑centered orthopedic care, preoperative and postoperative support, and collaborate with supervising physicians.

We offer competitive compensation ranging from $127,880 to $191,820 annually, with comprehensive medical, dental, vision coverage, PTO, a 401(k) plan, disability and life insurance, and a wellness program.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited PA/NP program.
  • Board certification and Virginia license.
  • Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical exams and develop treatment plans for patients.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies.
  • Provide preoperative and postoperative care in coordination with supervising physicians.
  • Assist in surgical procedures as needed and provide intraoperative care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct physical exams, compile medical histories, and implement treatment plans for both new and established patients.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies to ensure accurate and timely care.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medications, and the road to recovery.
  • Provide preoperative and postoperative care in coordination with supervising physicians.
  • Participate in surgical procedures and provide intraoperative care in the OR as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records while ensuring compliance with practice guidelines.
  • Collaborate with physicians and the broader care team to deliver outstanding patient outcomes.
  • Perform procedures and assessments with precision and professionalism, ensuring continuity of care.
What You Bring to the Team:
  • Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Board certified Virginia State License.
  • BLS certification and commitment to maintaining CEUs in clinical practice.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic or related fields (highly desired), though new graduates with a passion for orthopedics are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to work independently, respond effectively in emergency situations, and maintain professionalism at all times.
