Job summary

OrthoVirginia, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our premier orthopedic team in Merrifield, VA.

You will perform exams, manage treatment plans, and contribute to surgical and postoperative care within a collaborative, patient-centered environment. The ideal candidate will be board-certified in Virginia with 2+ years in orthopedics or a related field, strong communication, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited physician assistant or nurse practitioner program.
  • Board certification and Virginia state license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of orthopedic or related clinical experience."
  • Strong communication, customer service, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and respond effectively in emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical exams, take patient histories, and develop treatment plans.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies to ensure accurate and timely care.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and recovery.
  • Provide preoperative and postoperative care in coordination with supervising physicians.
  • Participate in surgical procedures and intraoperative care when needed.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with guidelines.
  • Collaborate with physicians and care teams to deliver excellent outcomes.
