RWJBarnabas Health in New Jersey is seeking a Physician Advisor for full-time employment. The role collaborates with local and corporate administration, medical staff, and case management leadership to implement a comprehensive clinical resource management program.

Responsibilities include standardizing Physician Advisor services, throughput and LOS optimization, and leading multidisciplinary rounds. Excellent communication and CMS knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible and Valid NJ License is required.
• 2+ years of Clinical Practice Experience in acute care.
• Utilization Management experience in acute care setting desired.
• Prior leadership experience required.
• CHCQM certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of CMS Regulations and guidelines (MCG/InterQual) is expected.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Proficient computer skills and strong organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Establish standardized practice for Physician Advisor Services across sites.
• Oversee throughput and length of stay optimization.
• Manage observation hours and next site of care planning.
• Lead multidisciplinary rounds and policy development.
• Contribute to quality and efficiency of care through guideline reviews.
