Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health seeks a Physician Advisor to establish standards for Physician Advisor Services, including Throughput/Length of Stay and Observation Hours. You'll participate in developing medical guidelines to ensure quality care.

The ideal candidate will be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible, have a valid New Jersey medical license, and possess at least two years of clinical practice experience. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential. Benefits include medical plans, 401(k), and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice experience.
• Prior utilization management experience in an acute care setting.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to multi‑task and set priorities.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain standardized practice for Physician Advisor Services.
• Participate in the review and development of medical guidelines and policies.
• Meet defined Length of Stay goals and organizational goals for observation hours.
