Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan seeks an experienced physician to examine patients, obtain histories, order tests, and interpret results. You will counsel patients on illness and preventive care, and exercise independent clinical judgment in evaluating and treating conditions.

Responsibilities include conducting interviews, exams, diagnoses, and delivering appropriate medical or surgical treatment, and coordinating follow-ups or referrals as needed.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan license to practice medicine.
• Board certification in specialty where required.
• Obtain and maintain medical staff privileges at appropriate subsidiary hospital(s).

• Assesses need for, and as may be clinically indicated, refers patients to additional health care providers for additional specialty care.


• Assesses urgency of patient medical care needs in determining necessary follow-up schedule and/or referral/consultation appointments.


• Exercises sound medical judgment in all issues pertinent to medical diagnosis and treatment on each patient’s behalf.
