Job summary

McLaren in Michigan seeks a physician to examine patients, obtain histories, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and deliver medical or surgical treatment. You will counsel patients on illness, preventive care, and wellness, while exercising professional judgment in each case.

The role requires a current Michigan medical license, board certification in the relevant specialty where indicated, and the ability to obtain and maintain medical staff privileges at the affiliated hospitals.

Qualifications

• Assesses need for, and as may be clinically indicated, refers patients to additional health care providers for additional specialty care.
• Assesses urgency of patient medical care needs in determining necessary follow-up schedule and/or referral/consultation appointments.
• Exercises sound medical judgment in all issues pertinent to medical diagnosis and treatment on each patient’s behalf.

• Assesses urgency of patient medical care needs in determining necessary follow-up schedule and/or referral/consultation appointments.
• Exercises sound medical judgment in all issues pertinent to medical diagnosis and treatment on each patient’s behalf.
