Christie at the Fields (LLC) in Champaign, IL is seeking a full-time Insurance Specialist for the Physical Therapy department. The role requires obtaining authorizations, managing billing alerts, and coordinating with PSRs to schedule patients.

The position includes no night or weekend hours on a 1st shift, with benefits and opportunities to participate in continuous improvement trainings within a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Obtaining all authorizations for Physical Therapy through online insurance sites and through phone calls.
• Updating billing alerts and providing final information to PSR’s to schedule patients.
• File fax confirmations for insurance authorizations.
• Assist with maintaining physical therapy visits within authorization dates and visits provided.
• Do correspondence concerning overall insurances, appeals, and retro authorizations.
• Problems solve patient’s questions/complaints and forward to customer service if necessary.
• Check Jellybeans follow up questions from patients/billing dept/claims.
• Provide insurance guidance to patients and providers. Demonstrate understanding of insurance requirements.
• Attend Continuous Improvement classes for changes to insurance requirements in the electronic medical record and individual carrier updates.
• Assist with coverage of front desk needs, including check in, scheduling and answering phone calls.
