Job summary

Texas Orthopedic Hospital is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant PRN to join our team under the HCA Healthcare network in Houston. You will deliver patient-centered care, perform therapeutic exercises, and assist patients in regaining mobility, working with PTs and nurses to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, applying modalities, and educating patients on home exercise programs.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of an associate degree from an accredited therapy program is required.
  • 1–2 years experience required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT) or Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) in Texas is required.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility
  • Applying physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function

  • Working closely with PTs, nurses, aides, and the care team to enhance the patient experience and support a culture of excellence
What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (LPT) Licensed Physical Therapist, or (LPTA) Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Texas is required
  • A minimum of an associated degree from an accredited therapy program is required
  • A minimum of 1-2 years experience required
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 2 shifts per 4 week rotation
