Job summary

Mercy seeks a Part-time Physical Therapy Assistant to support our therapy team in Mehlville, MO. Under supervision by PTs and assistants, you will administer modalities, guide exercises, and help with patient progress.

This role requires PTA program graduate, MO PTA license, BLS within 90 days, and a background in Allied Health is helpful. Flexible weekend schedule and benefits available after hours.

Qualifications

• Graduate of PTA program and licensed to practice as a PTA.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Experience in therapy is preferred.
• Allied Health background is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Administer a variety of therapeutic modalities, exercises and procedures under supervision.
• Assist with medical records, department upkeep and equipment maintenance.
• Provide support to improve department functioning and patient care.

Under the general supervision of department management and the direct supervision of staff Physical and Occupational Therapists and Assistants, will administer a variety of therapeutic modalities, exercises and procedures. Will also assist in: medical records, upkeep of department appearance and equipment, and provide any support help needed for improved Department functioning.

Position Details:

Position: Part-time - 24 hours per week

Shifts: Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Flexible hours: Friday 4 hours and Saturday/Sunday 10-hour shifts or three (3) - 8-hour shifts.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of PTA Program.

Licensure: PTA License in the state of practice.

Experience: Experience with therapy preferred.

Certifications: BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire.

Other: Must have knowledge or background in Allied Health field.
