Job summary

Mercy in Crestwood, MO invites a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant to join our compassionate care team. You will administer therapeutic modalities, assist therapists, handle patient records, and help maintain department operations. Flexible weekend shifts (Fri-Sun) with 24 hours per week, 4-hour Friday and 8- or 10-hour weekend blocks.

BLS certification required within 90 days. Experience in therapy preferred; allied health background beneficial as you contribute to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of PTA program.
• Licensed PTA in Missouri.
• Experience with therapy preferred.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Allied Health background helpful.

Responsibilities

• Administer a variety of therapeutic modalities, exercises and procedures under supervision.
• Assist in medical records, department appearance and equipment upkeep.
• Provide support to improve department functioning.
• Collaborate with Physical and Occupational Therapists and Assistants.

Under the general supervision of department management and the direct supervision of staff Physical and Occupational Therapists and Assistants, will administer a variety of therapeutic modalities, exercises and procedures. Will also assist in: medical records, upkeep of department appearance and equipment, and provide any support help needed for improved Department functioning.

Position Details:

Position: Part-time - 24 hours per week

Shifts: Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Flexible hours: Friday 4 hours and Saturday/Sunday 10-hour shifts or three (3) - 8-hour shifts.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of PTA Program.

Licensure: PTA License in the state of practice.

Experience: Experience with therapy preferred.

Certifications: BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire.

Other: Must have knowledge or background in Allied Health field.
