Job summary

Mercy is seeking a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to work 24 hours per week, with shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The role involves administering therapeutic modalities and exercises under supervision, assisting with medical records, and keeping the department orderly and well-equipped.

Candidates should be graduates of PTA programs with a PTA license in the state of practice; therapy experience is preferred and BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Under the general supervision of department management and the direct supervision of staff Physical and Occupational Therapists and Assistants, will administer a variety of therapeutic modalities, exercises and procedures. Will also assist in: medical records, upkeep of department appearance and equipment, and provide any support help needed for improved Department functioning.

Position Details:

Position: Part-time - 24 hours per week

Shifts: Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Flexible hours: Friday 4 hours and Saturday/Sunday 10-hour shifts or three (3) - 8-hour shifts.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of PTA Program.

Licensure: PTA License in the state of practice.

Experience: Experience with therapy preferred.

Certifications: BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire.

Other: Must have knowledge or background in Allied Health field.
