Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a talented Physical Therapy Assistant-VNA to support patient care across Fairhaven, Acushnet, and New Bedford. The role involves day-shift hours, 40 hours per week, with weekend rotation and a per-visit travel expectation.

The PTA will work under a Clinical Manager and a Registered Physical Therapist to improve mobility and quality of life for patients in home care settings. Qualifications include an Associate degree in Physical Therapy, MA PTA license, CPR, and

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Two years of related experience required.
• Home care experience preferred.
• Must possess and demonstrate highly effective interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with various software, database and electronic records programs preferred.
• Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant by the MA Board of Registration in Medicine; may be required in Rhode Island depending on geographic area.
• CPR certification is required.
• Vaccination against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 (or exemption) is required upon hire.

We are searching for a talented Physical Therapy Assistant-VNA

Hours:40hrs

Shift:Day shift with weekend rotation roughly every 9 weeks, 1 Holiday per year; Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm; varies based on current staffing

Location: Primary coverage area: Fairhaven, Acushnet, and New Bedford.

Travel: Driving on average 3 or more times per week required

• Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant by the Board of Registration in Medicine of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and may be required in Rhode Island, subject to geographic area assignment.
• CPR certification is required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
